Stock shortage and bug fixes
The launch of our store was a bit bumpy — but mostly in a good way. Interest in Dumbdroid far exceeded our expectations, and we sold out on the first day. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, but our supplier also ran out of stock. We’re incredibly grateful for everyone's patience; however, if the wait becomes too long, we’re happy to offer refunds upon request.
We just received a batch of 50 phones today, and we’ll be flashing and shipping them as quickly as possible. We currently have an excess of white units, so choosing that color may significantly reduce your wait time. We also expect to order another 100 units within the next few days, which should clear the backlog.
After the first customers received their phones, we discovered an issue causing the Setup Wizard to loop. We’re still investigating the root cause, but in the meantime we’ve added a “Factory Reset” button to the power menu, allowing you to retry the setup if needed. We've also fixed issues related to excessive call volume and VoLTE activation. Additionally, we disabled D-pad music controls when the phone is not connected to headphones and no music is playing, to prevent accidental playback from your pocket.
If you received your phone before the end of October, you should soon receive a notification to install an update. If not, you can check manually under Settings → System → Updates. Units shipped in November and later will include the fix by default.
